AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY 1: MASTER YOUR CAMERA

Learn how to control your camera and go beyond automatic modes. Specifically:  

  • manage camera settings;
  • what lenses to use and when;
  • best shooting practices and key composition principles;
  • which accessories are critical and which are not;

3 classes of two hours each
(two evening classes and one photo outing on Saturday in daylight)

Price: $79

You need a DSLR or mirrorless camera (with interchangeable lenses), or an advanced compact camera with powerful zoom and the ability to shoot RAW. Entry-level point-and-shoot cameras are not suitable. In doubt, contact Sergio.

AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY 2: OPTIMIZE YOUR PHOTOS

Learn how to bring your digital photos to full life, ready for viewing, printing and sharing. Specifically: 

  • advanced editing for spectacular results;
  • cataloging best practices to rate and easily retrieve your images;
  • showing and sharing your best work.

You need access to a computer and good computer skills. You will install a specific software program, recommended by Sergio, free during the trial period. Installation instructions will be provided before class.

AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY 3: PERFECT YOUR COMPOSITION

Train your eyes to learn how to creatively arrange the components of an image. Specifically: 

  • how to take advantage of light;
  • how to use lines, shapes, patterns and space to lead the viewer’s eye to the point of most interest;
  • understanding the role of color and/or black&white for unique artistic expression.

1 evening class of two hours.

Price: $39

This course is about your eyes, not your camera. Any camera equipment will do.

iPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY

Significantly improve the quality of your iPhone photos and movies, by learning new tricks about your iPhone’s camera. Specifically:

  • managing camera settings for best shooting results;
  • image composition
  • HDR / Panorama / Movie options: how to use and when;
  • quick in-phone image editing;
  • sharing via social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.);
  • use of external apps for superior results.

 

This class is offered in two versions:

1. Basic Class:

2. Advanced Class:

  • 2 classes of two hours each on the same day - $59
